Mississipi warns of mold potential but the idiot in Livingston Parish who is to auction them is tearing out moldy sheetrock etc. and repairing them (at least the one in the video). He recommends buyers have them inspected (and we know those inspections are always really thorough) as he has them sign a disclaimer. katy
More than 200 Katrina cottages from Mississippi will soon be on the auction block in Livingston Parish. Authorities in Mississippi say the trailers are not fit to live in. News 2’s Lori Steele gets answers on why they are being sold in spite of the warning.
Well, even after everything we did, Livingston parish says this was okay, and as of now, I have 8 of these across the street from me about to be rented out.
I realize this was written several months back, but the Hendersons kept some of their Katrina cottages (or maybe these just didn’t sell for whatever reason) and are making a trailer park of these very same Katrina cottages right across the street from me and are going to rent them. My community, made up of nice & well kept homes have tried everything legal to keep it from happening but it looks like we do not have enough money to stop them. I am looking for any other way to stop these cottages from being permanently set up here.
