Comment on story Research Shows Controversial Illness is Real and Treatable
and
Gov. Schwarzenegger Participating in California Chamber of Commerce Discussion
Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for running this release. It is related to another matter occurring here in California. We blogged about the related matter last week while quoting NewsBlaze in the writing.
From the above article:
“This illness has been the subject of heated debate that has resulted in harsh allegations being lobbed at patients by experts hired by industry to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the illness….it’s a chronic inflammatory illness that is easily identified with available lab testing and treatable using FDA-approved medications…CIRS-WDB”
Agnotology is the study of culturally-induced ignorance or doubt, particularly the publication of inaccurate or misleading scientific data. Ignorance is often not merely the absence of knowledge but an outcome of cultural and political struggle.
It is not just those hired to cast doubt in the courtroom that are the cause of these illnesses – that are expensive to workers comp and property insurers – going unaddressed for so long. It is the US Chamber of Commerce that has fueled this mass deception and the political proponents of the insurance industry, who rule the University of California. What happens in California doesn’t stay in California.

Sociological Issues Relating to Mold
“Changes in construction methods have caused US buildings to become perfect petri dishes for mold and bacteria to flourish when water is added. Instead of warning the public and teaching physicians that the buildings were causing illness; in 2003 the US Chamber of Commerce Institute for Legal Reform, a think-tank, and a workers comp physician trade organization mass marketed an unscientific nonsequitor to the courts to disclaim the adverse health effects to stave off liability for financial stakeholders of moldy buildings. Although publicly exposed many times over the years, the deceit lingers in US courts to this very day.”
