Los Angeles News – Foster-Child Power – page 1
This literally turns my stomach that Daniel Heimpel is promoting himself as the great advocate for disadvantaged children. Someone needs to ask Daniel about the little favor he and LAWeekly editor, Jill Stewart, did for the US Chamber of Commerce and the insurance industry in the summer of 2008 to help promote the concept that poor air in moldy, and decrepit low income housing does not harm children.
Someone needs to ask him about the seven people he quoted for a false light article who said they never even spoke to him as he knowingly assisted an old tobacco scientist to help the insurance industry stave off financial liability from the decrepit buildings.
Daniel Heimpel is a hypocrite. He is no more a proponent of disadvantage children then the people he writes of in the article above. From what I and many others know and can well document, he is a shill for the US Chamber of Commerce.

Well this is interesting. Daniel Heimpel, who did a little favor for the US Chamber of Commerce last summer in publishing a known false light writing about my litigation with Bruce Kelman, (author of “A Scientific View of the Health Effects of Mold” for the US Chamber of Commerce) is now a liberal blogger for the Huffington Post. OMG!
I told them what they have brought into their midst:
HUFFINGTON POST NEW BLOGGER IS A SHILL FOR THE US CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
Below is a link that contains other links of videos decribing the deceit of the US Chamber, emails from Daniel Heimpel showing he knew he was writing lies, legal documents, etc. They all show Heimpel KNEW he did a little favor for the US Chamber last summer and wrote a KNOWN false article for LA Weekly over the mold issue.
WAKE UP, HUFFINGTON POST. YOUR NEW BLOGGER IS A SHILL FOR THE US CHAMBER OF COMMERCE!!!
So now, the National Apartment Assoc (NAA) submits an Amicus Brief citing to the US Chamber paper in a litigation involving two infant deaths, a $25M insurance policy by Travelers and Bruce Kelman – who does not even list the Chamber paper on his CV – is serving as an expert witness for the defense. So much for the integrity of the Huffington Post!
Page 9 of the NAA Amicus:
“In a report entitled, A Scientific View of the Health Effects of Mold, a panel of scientists, including toxicologists and industrial hygienists stated that years of intense study have failed to produce any causal between exposure to indoor mold and adverse health effects. U.S. Chamber of commerce, A Scientific View of the Health Effects of Mold (2003)”
No “Panel of Scientists”. Just Kelman and Hardin.
This is what is in the above referenced pdf:
“I have a degree in marketing. I have been tracking the deceit in science over the mold issue for about four years. I am currently in litigation with Bruce Kelman, author of “A Scientific View of the Health Effects of Mold” US Chamber of Commerce Institute For Legal Reform, 2003.
I was the first to publicly write of the deceit of the paper online in 2005.
The second time the matter was written of, was on the front page of the Wall Street Journal.
Heimpel KNEW all of this before he wrote a false light article for LAWeekly in July of 2008, on behalf of the US Chamber of Commece.
Bruce Kelman sued me for libel for the word “altered” claiming it was a false accusation of perjury. The libel case has been interesting to say the least.” It has cost me over $500K in legal fees alone not to shut up about the US Chamber et al,’s deceit over the mold issue and not to be coerced into silence by its authors through this now over four year old libel litigation purportedly for the word “altered”.
LA Weekly and Heimpel put out a false light media hit piece on me three weeks before trial on behalf of the US Chamber of Commerce. It was Heimpel’s first venture into political writing for LAWeekly under the tutolage of Jill Stewart.
Heimpel and news editor, Jill Stewart, who has a nasty reputation in LA for her bizarre interpretation of how to write news, latimes.com/2009/jun/19, not only attacked me with their false light political hit piece, but my family, including my daughter who has Cystic Fibrosis referring to her as my “starring victim” while I expose the deceit of the US Chamber of Commerce over the mold issue.
Heimpel KNEW exactly what he was doing as is evidenced by email correspondance.
The writer of the LAWeekly expose’, and US Chamber shill, Daniel Heimpel, was then named Political Investigative Reporter of the Year for 2008, by the LA Press Club.
But his political hit piece on me on behalf of the US Chamber in 2008, was not submitted by LA Press Club board member, Stewart, for Heimpel’s 2008 body of work.
Heimpel’s writing was so bad, he could not even quote the Manhattan Institute think-tank, who paid for the deceptive US Chamber paper, correctly. Even THEY complained!
Below is twenty-three minute video of what Daniel Heimpel KNEW of the US Chamber of Commerce’s involvment in perpetrating a fraud on US courts over the mold issue and the US Chamber’s author Bruce Kelman’s involvement…Who Heimpel portrayed as a kindly scientist of integrity being attacked by an obsessive Mom among his award winning and stellar political investigative reporting of 2008.
In the above video, Kelman is discussing the false authorship listed of being written by a physician, the payment for the paper coming from the Manhattan Institute, how the US Chamber paper was SPECIFICALLY paid for and written to “educate” judges overseeing mold litigation, perjury on the issue of malice in a libel litigation (that was the subject of Heimpel’s fine writing) and attempted coercion into silence.
The litigation is still before the San Diego courts to this very day and is quite stinky with seven San Diego judges and justices ignoring uncontroverted evidence that Bruce Kelman has been committing criminal perjury on the issue of malice..while professing to prove he has been maliciously accused of one who would commit criminal perjury.
A letter to the NAA regarding an email they deleted without reading – please retract your amicus in the Abad case in Arizona – it is fraud by a political action committee, the National Apartment Association, that is furthering another fraud by another political action committee, the US Chamber of Commerce
Political Action Committee – NAA – files Amicus Brief in mold case (two infant deaths in mold filled apt – Wasatch Prop Mgmt) citing US Chamber/ACOEM ‘litigation defense report’ to disclaim health effects of indoor mold & limit financial risk for industry
“Changes in construction methods have caused US buildings to become perfect petri dishes for mold and bacteria to flourish when water is added. Instead of warning the public and teaching physicians that the buildings were causing illness; in 2003 the US Chamber of Commerce Institute for Legal Reform, a think-tank, and a workers comp physician trade organization mass marketed an unscientific nonsequitor to the courts to disclaim the adverse health effects to stave off liability for financial stakeholders of moldy buildings. Although publicly exposed many times over the years, the deceit lingers in US courts to this very day.” Sharon Noonan Kramer
