The news has been filled lately with post-election letters, articles, and op-eds about the devastating mess the Bush administration has made of the country over the last eight years, and what lies ahead for our newly-elected officials (see here, here, and here).  And when it comes to issues that affect consumers, the Center for Justice and Democracy (CJ&D) has been right there with them (check out these letters recently published in the New York and LA Times!).

Of particular concern has been Bush’s shameless promotion of total lawsuit immunity for negligent and irresponsible corporations.  But make no mistake, the Bush administration has left the country mired in eight years worth of muck that will likely require years for the new president, Congress, and civil justice fans everywhere to wipe clean.

So put on your civil justice hazmat-suits.  We’ve got a major mission to accomplish—and it’s time to get to work!
